 Description of the design:
 The design depicts a nerve cell with synapses, referring to the activities of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics is internationally recognised and plays an active and essential role as a regional, national and international centre of excellence, providing quality services, innovative research and postgraduate education. The design is encircled by the name of the issuing country, “KYΠΡΟΣ - KIBRIS”, and the phrase “ΙΝΣΤΙTOYΤΟ ΝΕΥΡΟΛΟΓΊΑΣ & ΓΕΝΕΤΙKHΣ KYΠΡΟY 1990-2020” (Cypriot Institute of Neurology and Genetics 1990-2020). The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.
