 Description of the design:
 The coin features a silhouette of Porvoo Cathedral, the site of Finland’s first parliamentary session, in the centre. The year 1809 is at the top. The year 2009 is at the right. The issuing country’s designation “FI” and the mint mark are at the left. The coin’s circumference features the twelve stars of the European flag. The design is by Reijo Paavilainen.
