 Description:
 The coin features a modified version of the logo of the “EU50” programme, which is used by government departments to promote events celebrating Ireland’s 50th anniversary of EU membership. The name of the issuing country “ÉIRE” (“Ireland”) appears above the logo. The year 1973 refers to the year Ireland joined the EU and the year 2023 to the year of issuance of the coin. The outer ring of the coin features the 12 stars of the European flag.
