Subject of the commemorative coin:
 The introduction of the euro as the official currency of Croatia on 1 January 2023

 Description:
 The coin features horizontally the country of issuance “HRVATSKA” (“Croatia”) and the year of issuance “2023”, and along the inner outer edge the words “ČLANICA EUROPODRUČJA” (“Member of the Eurozone”). These words symbolically form a stylised euro sign “€”. The other main motif on the coin is the distinctive and recognisable symbol of Croatia, the Croatian chessboard, which is part of the coat of arms of the Republic of Croatia. The outer ring of the coin features the twelve stars of the European flag.
