 2nd Lusophonic Games

 Description:
 The coin was issued on the occasion of the Games for Portuguese-speaking countries. The inner part of the coin features a gymnast with a ribbon, the symbol of the Lusophone Games, which will be held in Lisbon from 11 to 19 July. At the top, the seal of Portugal is engraved, surrounded by the indication of the issuing country ‘PORTUGAL’, which forms a semi-circle. At the bottom, in a semi-circle, is the inscription ‘2.os JOGOS DA LUSOFONIA LISBOA’, with the initials ‘INCM’ to the left and the name of the designer ‘J. AURÉLIO’ to the right. The year ‘2009’ is inscribed in a curl of the ribbon to the left. The coin’s outer ring features the twelve stars of the European flag on a background of concentric circular lines.
