 Description of the design:
 The design features a visual composition based on the famous work “Heart of Viana”, signed by the artist, Mrs Joanna Vasconcelos, which is inspired by the traditional jewellery of the north of Portugal (near the city of Viana do Castelo). The whole symbolises the support of the Portuguese people for their national team during the Games. At the left and right, in a semi-circle, are the words “JOANA VASCONCELOS” and “EQUIPA OLÍMPICA DE PORTUGAL 2016”. At the bottom is the mint mark “INCM”. The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.
