 Special 2 euro coin in honour of Bartolomeo Borghesi (historian, numismatist).

 Description of the design:
 The twelve stars of the European Union are depicted in a circle around the bust of Bartolomeo Borghesi along the outer edge, with the year of issue “2004” at the bottom centre. To the left of the bust is the inscription “Bartolomeo Borghesi”, and above each other the letter “R” and the engraver’s initials “ELF”. To the right of the bust is the inscription “San Marino”.
