 Description of the design:
 The design features Mary Magdalene, a reference to the eponymous work by Caravaggio, which is housed in the Galleria Doria Pamphilj in Rome. At the top left is the inscription “SAN MARINO” and below that are the dates “1571-2021”. At the left are the initials of the designer Silvia Petrassi, “SP”. At the top right is the inscription “CARAVAGGIO” and the mint mark. The coin’s outer ring features the twelve stars of the European flag.
