 Description of the design:
 The design depicts the Virgin Mary with the baby Jesus, a reference to the painting “Virgin and Child” by Albrecht Dürer, which is housed in the Uffizi Galleries (Florence). On the left are the inscription “SAN MARINO” and the mint mark “R”. On the top right is the monogram “AD” with the initials of Albrecht Dürer and on the right is the inscription “DÜRER”. At the bottom are the initials of the designer Valerio De Seta, “VdS”, and the dates “1471-2021”. The outer ring of the coin features the twelve stars of the European flag.
