Description of the design:
The inner part of the coin depicts the outlines of four Central European countries – the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia – superimposed with a composite V, symbolising the Visegrad Group, a regional association also known as the Visegrad Four or V4. The Visegrad Group was established following a summit meeting of the Heads of State or Government of Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland in the city of Visegrad (Hungary) on 15 February 1991, primarily with a view to cooperation in areas of common interest for the process of European integration. The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.
